Welcome to the Three Counties Sporting Club web site. This site features a list of shooting venues and dates, an up to date newsletter and other useful information and links.

The Club uses the military ranges at Ponteland, near Newcastle Airport and Otterburn in Northumberland and there is a list of shooting dates on the 'Calendar' page, together with dates for the Consett Gun Club shoots.

Visitors holding a current FAC are welcome at both Clubs' shoots, but from 1st January 2009 everyone will need to be in possession of a current 'Certificate of Safety and Competence' to be able to shoot on MoD ranges. To obtain one of these, you have to be a member of a Club such as ours - Home Office Approved and/or NRA Affiliated, on 1st July 2008, otherwise the MoD will class you as a 'new shooter' and you will have to attend an NRA-Approved Training Course, at Club level if available or at Bisley if not.

Membership There are a small number of vacancies for FAC holders from 1st April 2009. Complete a membership form and submit it to the Secretary if you wish to apply..

Firearms: For information about any Firearms matters, point your browser at www.durham.police.uk/info/firearms/ or check it out on the 'links' page. It's all there - Even F.A.C. Application Forms online.
